AT THE RISE OF DAWN
FROM THE CAVES OF THE UNDERWORLD
COME THE SLAVING HORDES
BRAVING THE STAIRCASE OF STEEL
THEY DON'T MOVE NOR TALK
THEIR STARE LOST
BEYOND A POINT OF NO RETURN
THEY WILL SOON WANDER
FREE AND INVISIBLE
UNTIL THE SUN GOES DOWN
What I like about Draken too is that the music is fierce but not too macho, aggressive but not dumb. The most important feature is masterfull riffage though, and writing songs that stick in your brain and make you yearn for the time you can bang your head along in front of the stage. I seriously can’t wait to see this live. Weirdo Shrine
Impossible not to think of Lateralus when technicality and groove blend so effortlessly.
Shoutout to the cover's artist too because the artwork looks fantastic. AlexisD

Faerie Ring return and so does the RIFF, all caps. Faerie Ring take what would be a cookie cutter riff from anyone else and just JUICE it so thoroughly, with passion and energy and melodic interest and the all-important rhythmic groove (much more important to a good stoner riff than loud fuzz), that it just blows out your speaker and makes you mean mug. Guaranteed. I loved the wacky sounds they created in the studio that really push this over the edge from great into bonkers-great. pinkytheent
